We offer live, hands on performance training. Each attendee learns by doing, by performing real professional task's.
This specialization is for you if you are looking to learn more about the more advanced components of Six Sigma and Lean. Six Sigma skills are widely sought by employers both nationally and internationally. These skills have been proven to help improve business processes, performance, and quality assurance.
In this specialization, you will learn proven principles and tools specific to six sigma and lean.
This is a sequential, linear designed specialization that covers a more advanced level of content (at the “green belt” level) of Six Sigma and Lean. Yellow Belt knowledge is needed before advancing to Green Belt (which is the second specialization offered here on Coursera by the USG). Green Belt knowledge is needed before moving to a Black Belt.
- Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Learn and apply the fundamentals of six sigma strategies and tools
- Learn how to identify and manage six sigma projects relevant to organizational growth.
- Apply six sigma program in the organizations.
Introduction to Six Sigma Theory and Practices and Basic Concepts of Lean

5: CONTROL PHASE
Basics of Statistical Process Control (SPC), Maintaining the Controls, Sustainable Improvements
Every Specialization includes a hands-on project. You’ll need to successfully finish the project(s) to complete the Specialization and earn your certificate. If the Specialization includes a separate course for the hands-on project, you’ll need to finish each of the other courses before you can start it.
Test Score and time frame:
In order to achieve the professional designation of IASSC Certified Green Belt (IASSC-CGB™) from the International Association for Six Sigma Certification, candidates must sit for the IASSC Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Exam and achieve a minimum score of 70%.
