Network+ Certification

We offer live, hands on performance training. Each attendee learns by doing, by performing real professional task's.

Network+ (Network Plus) is a mid-level certification for network technicians. This certification is designed to test the competency of a mid-level network technician in supporting and configuring TCP/IP clients in terms of network design, cabling, hardware setup, configuration, installation, support, and troubleshooting. The Network+ exam contains situational, traditional, and identification types of questions. The Network+ exam is open to anybody, although it is designed to be taken by those with at least 18 months of on-the-job experience as a network technician, as well as the A+ certification or equivalent knowledge.

The student will learn all about the various networking topologies, such as peer-peer networks, client-server networks, bus networks, ring networks, star networks, mesh networks, tree networks and hybrid networks. The latter can be a combination of any of these aforementioned network-based topologies Once the student has learned how to design some of the abovementioned networks, their next task is to learn how to configure them according to the needs of the business or corporation.  Equally important is the management of these networks, where the student will also learn key optimization strategies to make sure that network traffic is flowing consistently and smoothly. Once the student has a grasp on how to properly configure and deploy a particular network configuration, he or she will then focus on how to properly place such devices as routers, hubs, switches, firewalls and network intrusion devices, along the network configuration. This will give them experience in learning how to segment data flows, but also help them understand where these devices should be placed in order to provide maximum security for the business or corporation..Student also Learn About the Advantages and Disadvantages of Each Network Configuration and Implement Network Security and the Related Protocols

The Network+ exam tests the ability of a networking technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and support a network, and understand various aspects of networking technologies, including TCP/IP and the OSI model. It also tests knowledge of network components and where they function in association with the OSI model, network cabling, network security, and network troubleshooting.

Network+ ensures an IT professional has the knowledge and skills to:

·         Design and implement functional networks

·         Configure, manage, and maintain essential network devices

·         Use devices such as switches and routers to segment network traffic and create resilient networks

·         Identify benefits and drawbacks of existing network configurations
